The Weber Crafted system is the reason many buyers choose the Genesis over the Spirit. With the frame kit (sold separately), the grates accept custom-fit inserts including an outdoor griddle, a dual-sided sear grate and a Dutch oven. That turns one grill into a griddle station or a braising setup without buying a second appliance. If you will never buy Weber Crafted grillware and cook mainly burgers, chicken and vegetables for a family of four, the extra $350 buys little you will use.

There is no side burner on the E-325. If you cook sauces or sides outside, the Genesis E-435 adds one along with a fourth burner for $1,499.00.
