How do I wash vinyl siding step by step?
- Close up and cover. Shut windows and storm windows, cover exterior outlets and light fixtures, and move furniture and grills away from the wall.
- Soak the plants. Wet beds and shrubs along the wall with plain water before you start and rinse them again afterward so detergent does not sit on leaves.
- Apply detergent bottom to top. Fit the soap tip and work upward in sections. Going bottom to top stops clean streaks running through dirty siding.
